Physical Well-being
Physical Education encourages a positive disposition towards physical activity. Students are taught the rules of the game so that their understanding of how it is played deepens. We emphasize that the attainment and maintenance of a basic level of fitness is connected to healthy living - this being the collective responsibility of the student and the school. We place significant value on the continued development of socially acceptable behaviour relevant to the sporting environment and seek to develop the student ability to work with a partner or as part of a team. Respect, sportsmanship and fairplay are the foundation of our physical education programme. Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, and Track and Field games are included in the physical education program at Riverside.
The Key Stage 2 building also houses a room for students to enjoy indoor games such as Table Tennis, Chess and Carrom. |
