Adaptability
Regular computer lessons ensure that students develop new skills in many areas and also build up on many of the skills learnt in lower grades - going beyond books and onto the wider web for sourcing information. An emphasis is placed on students acquiring practical skills through the individual use of the machines.
All the software skills are developed through tasks that connect to a topic being covered in the classroom at the time. The Information Technology Lab is also used for the purpose of research, presentations, problem solving and blogging.
During their cross class interactions, Key Stage 2 students assist their younger peers by sourcing information for them through the net. The students final portfolio is also made using technology and complemented with an evidence file.
