Design to Improve Life Award - Index: Award 2011
Design for Change, an initiative of The Riverside School, was the winner of the Design to Improve Life (work category) award given by Index: Design - the world's biggest, and perhaps most important - design prize. The Danish, non-profit design organization INDEX: Design to Improve Life received almost 1,000 nominations for the competition from 78 countries. The winners of INDEX: Award is not traditional design, but rather design that vastly improves the lives of people all over the world.

Ashoka Fellow, 2008 for aProCh
Ms Kiran Bir Sethi was awarded the Ashoka Fellowship 2008 for "aProCh - A Protagonist in every Child". Ashoka Fellowship is the most prestigious award in the social entrepreneurship awarded by the Ashoka Foundation, USA. It is given to change makers who inspire and provide system changing solutions for the world's most urgent social problems. Past noted Ashoka Fellows from Asia include: Mohammed Yunus - Founder of Grameen Bank, Bangladesh and Nobel Peace Prize winner and Sakeena Yakoobi - Founder of Afghan Institute of Learning.
