The Riverside School is a co-educational school created around the framework of ‘Relevance-Rigor-Relationship’. To provide children with the highest quality and no-compromise education, that will be the basis of their overall development and competency for the rest of their lives."
The Riverside School is first and foremost a primary school, since this has been the most-neglected area in contemporary mainstream education - and the most influential stage of our lives.
Riverside is divided into 3 Key stages - The learning journey is divided into 3 areas of development - Key stage 1 is built around awareness, Key stage 2 around enablement and Key stage 3 is about empowerment.

The Riverside School prides itself on its well-stocked library. Besides reference books, the library also has a full-fledged Graded Reading programme that systematically provides a mix of inputs relevant to the child's development at every stage.
Students will issue books from the library on a regular basis.
Besides this, Key stage 1 parents can become the members of the school library by making a deposit of Rs.250/- and a monthly charge of Rs.50/-. Books will be issued on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month between 10 to 11.
We will not be sending these books with the students.
The school has standard first aid facilities and a doctor on call.
The Riverside School encourages parents to take a proactive interest in their child's education and the school activities.
Every year the school will conduct an Orientation where new parents and children would come together and celebrate the partnership between home and school. Parents will interact with the school in many ways: every month, parents will be invited to review their child's work and meet with his/her teacher/s through an MLV.
Parents are welcome to spend a day at school and observe their child at work.
The monthly and weekly overview will be posted on the school website.
The school will conduct workshops for parents regularly on various subjects.
Besides, parents are encouraged to partner with the school by taking a cooking class, storytelling, assisting teachers, offering student interns placement, planning a visit for the students etc.
Teachers will be available for any kind of consultation or discussion with parents - at one day's prior notice.
Home-based sharing and follow-ups are structured in the form of "Bridge Activities" that are to be done by the child with her/his parents. These are specially designed to help the child maintain the connection between home and school.
Teaching as learning
When you teach you learn twice. Based on this principle, the students share/teach a concept, skill or an idea that they have learnt in the class to their parents. They do it with a sense of pride and confidence. The parents have to devote time for the child and give a detailed feedback whenever the child gets a ‘teaching as learning’
Since the school follows a progressive and sophisticated methodology, external tuition and coaching classes are not advised. In the event you would like to send your child for external classes on any subject, we strongly urge you to discuss it with the school in advance.
Fees and refund policy
The school fees include all school books, stationery (pencils, erasers, and papers), art material and visits in the city. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
The Riverside School offers the Bir Fellowship to offset part of the fees in special cases. Parents wishing financial assistance must fill up the form and comply with all the factors for assistance.
Parents wishing to sponsor children either in full or part, are requested to get in touch with the Director.
Parents must inform the school one month in advance if they wish to withdraw their child from the school.
