Relevance – Use language to interact/communicate with the world.
(Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing to express oneself)
* Use Phonemic awareness to help decode letters/words
* Applie language structure to make sense of the written/spoken words
* Read with fluency to enable comprehension (this does not apply to Pre K and K1 in term one)
* Speak to communicate about self/thoughts/feelings to others
* Applie all the above skills to become more competent and less helpless
